3/7/2008 Tam's Weekly Rant and Food Journal 3/1- 3/73/7 Woah! Yesterday flew by. I had a great day I went shopping with a freind, got the kids hair cut and took my son to boy scouts. I needed to eat more but I ran out of time. I was gone a good part of the day, I came home for lunch than I left again all i have to say is thank goodness for the crock pot. Todays goals: excercise and clean. Short but sweet!
3/5 I am getting ready to head out and play some basketball with the kids so I thought I would take a minute to update since after basketball it will be time to make dinner, than showers, reading, and getting kids ready for bed. I felt like this would be my only chance. I have been trying myfooddiary.com and I have to say it has been fun. I am comparing for one month between WW and Food Diary to see which one I like better. I can see advantages to both so we shall see.
3/4 Well I finally got my workout in. My schedule got a bit rearranged I had to take my sick husband to work, than he didn't stay so I had to take him to the doctor and than I got all my errands ran so when I got home I worked out. I am proud of myself cause that typically wouldn't happen. Once I get started with my day I usually won't go back and work out so big brownie points for me! Can't wait for the biggest loser tonight!
3/3 I am getting lazy. I haven't been excercizing, recording my points to well, and I have defanilty not been making the smartest food choices. So Day one (today) back on track. I have already been making better food choices and I hae excercised once already today. Goals for today is get the house cleaned up from the weekend and excercise again this afternoon. I don't have any errands to run so I have no excuses.
3/2 Today is the family dinner and I am so excited it has been since Christmas since our little Flagstaff group has been together. My plans are to get in a morning workout and than do some cleaning. Than I am gonna enjoy the rest of my day with the family.
3/1 well we are kicking around a couple of ideas here in Flagstaff. We are thinking of maybe my husband and son to go to a movie or to take all the kids and go sledding.

Jenn's Rant and Food LOG 3/1-3/7So, this was a pretty good week for me. Lots of great work outs... I love that it has become a part of my life. Not only am I doing the daily workouts, but I am just spending more time being active in general. I jog to the mailbox now, instead of walking... little things like that. If I'm out I take the stairs instead of elevators and when I am waiting in life, I do ab/butt squeezes. I even did lunges in the theater last week when we were waiting for the movie to start... there was no one else in the theater except us, so it was ok. hehe. :) Trainer is working my tail off... I wish I could afford to have one all the time. Working with him for the past week and a half has allowed me to see what a benefit it would be to have a trainer for the next year. That would allow me to have someone supporting my workouts all the way until I reach my goal weight!! That would be so cool. I hope whoever wins this contest sticks with it all year with that trainer and really changes their life!!
3/6- Home from trainer... great workout. Daughter is sick, so I'll just be hanging around the house doing TransCo and cleaning today. :o) Nice and relaxing... :o)
3/5- So... my today my computer fritzed! Now it's on its way back east to get fixed and I won't have it for like 3 weeks... I will be using my daughter's to keep up with everything until then. Was worried I wouldnt get to the gym, but I did... yay. Trainer tomorrow morning... woo!! 3/4- Yah, so I might have overdone the workout today... Did some cardio, then the trainer worked me SO HARD for an hour, and then I did another 70 min of cardio afterwards... I think I'm obsessed. Help! :o) Jogged again today... yay!! Ok, agenda- weed yard, laundry, work stuff... 3/3- Ok, so today at the gym... I JOGGED on the treadmill for 5 minutes straight! I know this doesn't sound like a huge deal to most people, but for me that is huge. When I started this whole thing out, I couldn't jog on there for longer than 30 seconds without my legs wanting to explode and not being able to breathe. Today, after the elliptical, after the treadmill workout... I jogged- at the end of the workout- for 5 straight minutes. Yah, this is huge for me. I'm happy. :o) 3/2- I love Sundays! It's the only day my Cliffy has off work right now, so we get to hang out all day. Today's agenda- church, finish groceries- only did Costco yesterday, weed more yard, go for a walk w/Cliffy, maybe a little cleaning, hang out. :o) My eating was somewhat hodge-podge yesterday. Did my gym appt at 1130 which went until about 200, then went grocery shopping, so I missed lunch at home and only had the snacks which I had packed in my purse... fruit leather and curve bar... which was fine, but threw off my eating. I ended up low on calories. I'm back on track today though. I really need to plan better on those days where I mess up my schedule. Happy March 2nd. 3/1- Happy March everyone! It was 81 degrees in Vegas yesterday! I am SO excited! It's almost spring and man is it beautiful here in the spring! I am going to have to spend some real time outside doing some fun activities and such to get a variety of cardio in. I'm also trying to find a sport or activity of some sort to get involved in. Any ideas? Ok... today's agenda- shower, gym, grocery shopping, hang at home with hubby. :o) Yep... should be a good day. 3/6- 3/1/2008 Tam's Weekly Rant and Food Journal 2/23 -2/292/29 Today has been one of those days that has just flown by. I have gotten so much accomplished but not everything. I still need to excercise and honstley I am not sure that I will get one in today. Pretty good day overall.
2/28 Well I feel pretty productive today. I have done everything on my to do list except my sons room and my second workout. Its still early and I will get that stuff done. Tommorow is my shopping and errand day, can you guys tell that I am out of fruit and veggies? Can't wait to get that stuff back in the house. I am excited cause Sunday we are having a family dinner with the family that lives by us so I am trying to think of a healthy dinner to prepare that we can all enjoy.
2/27 It seems that I am having a lot of "that day didn't go as planned". You know I started Weight Watchers cause it gives you the freedom to choose what you want to eat so thats what I did. I am not gonna apologize for having Del Taco last night, It was a busy night and thats what I chose to have for dinner. Although the reality is I have a 1/2 flex point left for the week and its only Weds and I really need to stay up on my activity and water. But for me this journey is something that is gonna take me time to perfect. I am really proud of the progress that I have made and will continue to make. For me its not about giving up everything and only eating fruits and veggies. Its about moderation and making choices I can live with.
2/26 Yesterday didn't go as planned. I did my new favorite video which is the burn and firm pilates but man was I zapped of energy for the rest of the day So my to-do list for the day. Workout and since I am incredable sore I will do a different video. Today I have to sweep and mop its getting so bad almost can't see my floor, then the dreaded bathrooms, yuck I hate cleaning those:(
2/25 So my plans for today have completly changed. My poor little girl was running to the bus a fell and slipped on ice. She hit her face pretty good, her nose and lip are huge and she has a big rasberry on her head that is puffy to. She has a headache and so I need to care for her I need to run to the store and get a few things after that I hope that I can get at least one workout in.
2/24 Ok so a couple things that I could change from yesterday. I didn't eat dinner or have my afternoon snack. I really meant to, but I layed down cause I wasn't feeling well and the next thing I know its 7:30 am the next day. I had a busy day my daughter was working girl scout cookie booths yesterday and when we finished that we still had some we had to deliver in the neighborhood and I guess I was just whipped.

TOTAL18PTS Jenn's Weekly Rant and Food LOG 2/23-2/29So, this week was a good one for me. I started working with a trainer on strength training ideas, which I needed badly... I am good with cardio, but my strength training skills were lacking. He has me doing some moves and exercises that really make me sweat and work my muscles, while building balance and muscle in the same. I really enjoy working with him. I only have 8 sessions with him, since I got them when I first joined the gym but never used them. I've already done 2 sessions... today is my 3rd. All were good eating days and good workout days. I really feel the difference in my body right now... my clothes fit totally different. I will get new pictures done when I reach 220 lbs... that was my next goal weight for progress pics. Hopefully you will all begin seeing the same difference that I do. Slowly, but surely... the transformation is happening. 2/29- Today was a busy day... payroll for the end of the month... pretty much keeps me busy all day long. Squeezed in an elliptical workout at the gym when my daughter and her friend wanted to go to Bball game at the school. That was nice, because I didn't think I was going to get the chance. Now, finishing up payroll... bed somewhat early. Appt with trainer tomorrow! yay!! 2/28- Good workout this morning w/trainer and on my own. He is going to show me how to put more strength training into my workout program, since I'm kinda lame when it comes to that. I'm looking forward to it. He gave me some real hard moves today- he mostly prefers using your own body weight as resistance, but we used some weights here and there, too, and let me tell you... what he called "stretches", I call a workout. hehe... it was fun. 2/27- Had a good day... sore from ST workout yesterday with new trainer... he worked me hard! We work out again tomorrow morning, so I am excited for another day of booty-kickin! Sleep early tonight...
2/26- Got in a great workout today and also ate very healthy. Another concert tonight so I was worried that after eating dinner at 430pm, I would get hungry by around 8 or so, but I wasn't. I really love how satisfying my food has been... it's nice to change my lifestyle from "live to eat" to "eat to live". I really feel like the hard work is worth the way it feels on my body and in my mind, and the lessons my daughter has learned from watching me are priceless. She eats so healthy now it isn't even funny. TShe eats all the same dinners I do without one complaint. I love this change. I feel as if my family is adding years to our health. 2/25- Spaced this day... have no idea how. 2/24- Rainy day here... so pretty. Agenda- Whole Foods w/Cliffy, then gym for treadmill, then home to hang out with the hubby for his only day off. :o) UPDATE: Spent time with hubby... decided to take a rest day instead of gym. 2/23- Got my workout in... went to the gym today, which was fun because I never go to the gym on Saturdays. We shall see...
2/21 Ok so I have had a pretty good day. Need to get those stupid Girl Scout cookies out of this house. They are 1 pt per cookie and I was gonna have fruit but instead I had those cookies. I am gonna do another workout when my kids get home and I am still within my points so I don't feel badly about the cookie I just know that there are better choices that I can be making.
2/20 Yup you saw correctly I BLEW IT! I will check back later. So what do I say, what can I say except I am an emotional eater and I still haver issues with that. It has been a long, hard day I feel like I have been fighting with everyone. It is so exhuasting being mad all day. So I am over it and going to bed early tommorow will be a better day:)
2/19 Man I am realizing what a busy week I have. Tonight is Blue and Gold dinner for Rex's boy scouts. I still have to make a dessert and a bear costume for him, guess I better get onto that. The Girl scout cookies also came in and so far so good I have had a total of ZERO! I need to workout before I have to be a my kids school and all the other things that I need to do. Hopefully my neighbor will want to walk again today.
2/18 My plan for the day is to excercise. Then I need to clean, pick up girl scout cookies, get ready for the Blue and Gold dinner for tommorow and to scrapbook.
2/17 Today was pretty slow. I caught up on my laundry finally, yeah me a small victory in itself. Just did one workout other than cleaning that was my day. Tommorow I hae to go and pick up Girl Scout cookies that my daughter has sold. Yes I did buy some but I have 3 kids and they will eat them all. Besides I figure that if I want some then I will eat them I will not deprive myself I will just count my points and move on.
2/16 Ok so I admit it I had a small pity party ok well it was more like a half of a day party. I lost a pound and a half and even though its a lost I still had this over whelming since of frustration and failure. Why who knows cause thats me, I just was feeling like I was working my tail off and eating right and for what a pound and a half? Well I am over that it wasn't a gain and everything that I have read says its healthy to loss 1 to 2 pounds a week. So I am on track and am happy about it!
